Our name and logo
Gerana (“Geh-rah-nah”. The G is hard, like the g in “go”) is derived from ancient Greek for “crane”, which symbolises grace, longevity, and migratory wisdom. In our logo, this revered bird represents the deep interconnectedness of people, land, and water. The circle of light signifies a safe and equitable space where life can thrive.
The crane spirit animal teaches, “To walk in grace on this Earth is to honour the miracles all around us.”
